Exact location of subcortical auricular points

The subcortical ear point is on the medial side of the opposite ear screen, or zone 4 of the opposite ear screen. Subcortical auricular points are used to treat pain, intermittent malaria, neurasthenia, pseudomyopia, insomnia and so on. Clinically, subcortical auricular points are often used together with adrenal points to benefit the heart and tranquilize the mind, regulate menstruation and nourish blood, relieve pain (relieve more urgent pain symptoms), clear heat and relieve dampness (remove heat and dampness in the body), etc., and treat pulselessness, low blood pressure, menstrual irregularities, traumatic pain, abdominal distension, urinary tract infections and so on. Stimulation methods for subcortical auricular points include needling, pressure seeding, massage, etc., usually alternating between the two sides. It should be noted that needling needs to be operated by a specialized physician.
