Acupuncture has the effect of invigorating blood and moving qi. Acupuncture during menstruation may lead to heavy menstruation and prolonged menstrual period, therefore, it is not recommended to have acupuncture during menstruation. Acupuncture can treat breast nodules. Among them, danzhong is the qi meeting, combining with the period gate can broaden the chest and regulate qi, disperse the knot and resolve the stagnation; breast root and cataract can regulate the yangming meridian qi; the period gate can dredge the liver qi and regulate the Chongren; the foot sanli and tai chong can be taken far from the meridian to dredge the qi of the stomach meridian and the liver meridian, respectively. If the liver is depressed and stagnant, it can be matched with Liver Yu and Nei Guan; phlegm and turbid condensation can be matched with Feng Long and Zhong Cu; and Chong Ren disorders (which refers to the malfunctioning of Chong Vein and Ren Vein, resulting in the inability of the human body to pass through the qi and blood) can be matched with Guan Yuan, Liver Yu, Kidney Yu, and so on. When discomfort occurs, one should consult a doctor in time and choose the appropriate treatment under the guidance of the physician’s diagnosis, and should not operate on one’s own to avoid delaying the condition.
