What if a fly gets in your ear?

Flies in the ear should be anesthetized or killed with oil, ether, or other drugs, and then removed with tweezers. If you can’t do it on your own, we recommend that you go to the hospital, where a doctor can remove the fly under an otoscope.
When flies get inside the ear, their crawling can cause severe earache, noise, panic and even damage to the eardrum, which is a foreign body in the external auditory canal.
When dealing with flies and other active insects in the external auditory canal, attention should be paid to first make the insect stationary, to avoid further damage to the ear canal of its violent activities, you can first oil, ethanol drops in the ear canal to kill the insect, or will be dipped in ether and other volatile anesthetics placed in the external auditory canal, anesthesia of the insect, and then take out the tweezers or rinse discharged.
If there is an emergency situation in which a fly runs into the ear, if you are unable to deal with it on your own, you should go to the emergency department of the ear, nose and throat department of a regular medical institution for emergency medical treatment by a professional doctor.
