Cervical polyps may shrink because there is vaginitis or cervical inflammation during the examination, the inflammation stimulates and causes the polyps to be larger, or the hormone level is higher when the examination is performed before menstruation, and the polyps of the cervix are seen to be larger. After the anti-inflammatory treatment or after the menstrual cleansing, the cervical polyp may shrink after the inflammation treatment, or when the menstrual cleansing and hormone level is low, the cervical polyp may also shrink. But cervical polyps usually do not absorb on their own. Cervical polyps tend to cause contact bleeding during intercourse and tend to cause increased leucorrhea. So when cervical polyps are found, surgery is still recommended. If the cervical polyp shrinks and is not visible to the naked eye, and there are no uncomfortable symptoms, it can also be reviewed regularly.
