The correct method of measuring resting heart rate is to measure it when the human body is awake, in a normal temperature environment, without mental stimulation or physical activity, and press the radial artery with the index finger and middle finger, count the number of beats in one minute, and take the average of three times as the value of resting heart rate.
Normal resting heart rate is 60-100 beats per minute, higher than 100 beats per minute is tachycardia and lower than 60 beats per minute is bradycardia.
Therefore, it is recommended that patients follow their doctor’s instructions to assess and monitor their heart rate and seek medical attention if necessary.
