Fatty nodules, also known as lipomas, are masses that form due to abnormal growth of fatty tissue. A very thin connective tissue outside the mass completely wraps the fat, forming a round or oval lobulated mass with a soft texture that is a benign lesion. Small masses can be followed up, but if the mass is large and has symptoms of compression, causing pain, affecting the aesthetics, etc., it can also be surgically removed under local anesthesia. If the mass is deeper and the mass inside the muscle is longer and larger, local anesthesia can also be used for semi-anesthesia if it is difficult. After removal of the lipoma, it should be routinely sent for pathological examination, because there may be liposarcoma present.
