Effects of medroxyprogesterone acetate tablets

If progesterone is low, medroxyprogesterone acetate tablets are usually used to mimic the secretion of progesterone by the ovaries. Under normal circumstances, the ovaries will secrete progesterone within a certain range and it is normal for menstruation to be normal. If the level of hormone secretion is low and not within this range, it can be supplemented by exogenous drugs. Medroxyprogesterone acetate tablets are exogenous progesterone, which is mainly used in the case of insufficient progesterone in the body. It is common in clinical practice that patients with menstrual disorders and luteal insufficiency usually have a period of about 20 days and black bloody discharge before menstruation, which lasts for about a week, when they can start taking medroxyprogesterone acetate tablets on the 12th day of their menstrual cycle at 10mg per day, usually for 10 days. It is very effective in treating luteal insufficiency due to low progesterone, and can be used in high doses to treat breast cancer, endometrial cancer, prostate cancer, and kidney cancer. For example, the recommended daily for the treatment of breast cancer is 500-1500mg, or even up to 2g per day, and high doses can be divided into 2-3 doses per day. The drug should be contraindicated or used with caution in patients with hepatic or renal insufficiency, cerebral infarction, urinary tract bleeding, heart attack and thrombophlebitis. The drug is contraindicated in pregnant and lactating women.
