Is it normal for a girl to have a heart rate of 70 beats per minute?

The standard heart rate for adult women at rest is 60-100 beats per minute. If the patient’s current heart rate is 70 beats per minute, this is normal and is a very standard heart rate. If the patient has panic attacks or palpitations, it is recommended that an ambulatory electrocardiogram (ECG) be performed if necessary, to help clarify whether there is any transient tachycardia or premature beats, or myocardial ischemia during the onset of the uncomfortable symptoms. Because it is difficult to determine whether an arrhythmia exists from a single heart rate measurement or an ordinary electrocardiogram, an ambulatory electrocardiogram provides a more objective assessment of the patient’s overall average heart rate over a 24-hour period and the presence or absence of an arrhythmia. If the patient’s current heart rate is basically at 70 beats/minute in the resting state, it is a relatively ideal heart rate.
