Terzicin, Tazobactam Sodium Piperacillin Sodium for Injection, is a combination of the penicillin antibacterial drug piperacillin and the β-lactamase inhibitor tazobactam. It is indicated for the treatment of mixed infections with a wide range of bacteria, including infections in which the presence of aerobic and anaerobic bacteria is suspected at the site of infection (abdominopelvic cavity, skin and soft tissues, respiratory tract). It is mainly used to treat lower respiratory tract infections, skin infections, as well as bacterial sepsis, urinary tract infections, abdominal infections and many other infectious diseases. 1. Respiratory tract infections: It can be applied to moderate to severe pneumonia caused by β-lactamase-producing bacteria such as Haemophilus influenzae, Staphylococcus aureus, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and has a certain therapeutic effect. 2. Skin infections: complicated skin and skin tissue infections can also be effectively treated by applying injectable piperacillin sodium tazobactam sodium. 3. Bacteremia and sepsis: it has a certain therapeutic effect on bacteremia and sepsis caused by bacteria such as Escherichia coli, methicillin-intolerant Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae and so on. It should be noted that the drug has rare adverse reactions, it is recommended that patients should not use the drug on their own, should go to the regular hospital, improve the relevant examination, and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
