The role of insulin shots

Insulin shots are generally used for hypoglycemic treatment in diabetic patients. The effects of insulin include accelerating glucose utilization, inhibiting glucose production, and promoting protein synthesis, so as to achieve the effect of lowering blood sugar. 1. Accelerating the utilization of glucose: insulin can increase the permeability of cell membrane to glucose, promote the transport of glucose from extracellular to intracellular, provide favorable conditions for the use of sugar in tissues, accelerate glucose fermentation and oxidation, so as to achieve the effect of lowering glucose. 2. Inhibit the production of glucose: insulin can inhibit the decomposition of hepatic glycogen into glucose, reduce the xenobiosis of glycogen, so as to reduce blood glucose. 3. Promote protein synthesis: insulin can induce amino acids to enter tissue cells, and amino acids can promote protein synthesis, which will help cell regeneration and repair damaged tissues. For diabetic patients, the dosage of medication should be adjusted according to the condition under the guidance of the doctor and avoid self-medication.
