Early stage follicular lymphoma has the possibility of cure, middle and late stage follicular lymphoma is generally difficult to be cured, but its survival period is relatively long, more than half of the patients’ survival period can reach 10 years. Follicular lymphoma is sensitive to radiation therapy and chemotherapy, some early stage follicular lymphoma can be cured by radiation therapy, which can be preferred. The treatment of advanced FL patients is based on chemotherapy, anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody and other drug therapy. Specific treatment options, such as watch and wait, single-agent and multi-agent combination therapy, and maintenance therapy with rituximab after remission therapy, can be selected according to the patient’s pathology, clinical stage, and physical status. Patients can be categorized into a low-risk group (0 to 1 point), an intermediate-risk group (2 points), and a high-risk group (≥3 points) based on 5 poor prognosis-related factors: age >60 years, AnnArbor stage III/IV, hemoglobin quantification <120 g/L, >4 areas of lymph node involvement, and elevated lactic acid dehydrogenase (LDH), and the probability of survival for the 3 groups of patients exceeding 10 years is 71%, respectively, 51% and 36%, and more than half of the patients could survive for 5, 10 and 15 years, respectively.
