What is immune cirrhosis?

Immune cirrhosis is autoimmune cirrhosis. Autoimmune cirrhosis is due to a variety of factors leading to the patient’s immune system disorders, triggering autoantibodies positive, serum aminotransferase elevation and other series of changes. The pathogenesis of autoimmune cirrhosis is not yet completely clear, according to the current medical research data, it may be due to the patient’s taking high-risk drugs in the past, personal stress and other factors, which induces the immune system to be out of order. The autoimmune system is unable to recognize and react with hepatocyte antigens when induced by the above factors. Patients with autoimmune hepatitis are often associated with different degrees of jaundice, hepatosplenomegaly, jaundice, etc. If the disease progresses to an advanced stage, itchy skin, esophagogastric fundal varices, upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage, ascites, and hepatic encephalopathy may also occur. Laboratory tests for this type of patients mostly show elevated IgG, elevated ghrelin transaminase, decreased serum albumin, and so on.
