Why Sudden Death from Overexcitement

Hyperexcitability can increase the release of catecholamines in the body, accelerate the heartbeat, induce coronary vasospasm, and at the same time promote coagulation or thrombosis, leading to the occurrence of malignant arrhythmias. Sudden death by overexcitement is mostly seen in the elderly and patients with underlying diseases, often sudden cardiac death, mostly related to the following reasons. 1. Excessive excitement can make the heart beat faster, increase myocardial oxygen consumption, induce coronary vascular spasm, narrowing, resulting in myocardial ischemia and hypoxia, acute myocardial infarction. 2. Over-excitement can activate platelet activity, promote coagulation and thrombosis, leading to acute coronary syndrome causing sudden death. 3. Excessive excitement can induce ventricular fibrillation and other malignant arrhythmias of fever, causing sudden death. Therefore, for the elderly or patients with organic heart disease, it is important to maintain emotional stability, avoid mental stress, avoid late nights and overwork to prevent the occurrence of sudden cardiac death.
