The general treatment, closed drug treatment or surgical treatment is recommended to treat the tooth hook pain and difficulty in opening the mouth (clinically known as Temporomandibular Joint Disorder). 1. General treatment: mainly includes hot compresses or infrared physical therapy, which is mainly used to relieve the tension of the temporomandibular joints or muscles in order to alleviate the symptoms of pain and difficulty in opening the mouth. 2. Medication: If the symptoms of temporomandibular joint disease are more serious, causing obvious pain and difficulty in opening and closing the mouth; closure of temporomandibular joint can be carried out (such as injecting hormone or local anesthesia drugs into the joint cavity, etc.) in order to alleviate the related symptoms. 3. Surgery: If the above treatments have no obvious effect, then surgical treatment of TMJ is necessary; such as arthrocentesis, arthroscopic surgery or joint replacement surgery. It is recommended to consult a doctor for timely examination and treatment. Conservative treatment is recommended before considering irreversible treatment.
