Biological immunotherapy is the latest treatment for malignant tumors developed in recent years and is also known as one of the most promising therapeutic approaches in the future treatment of malignant tumors. Biological immunotherapy has good therapeutic prospects, however, it also has many disadvantages, mainly including: firstly, few immunological targets directly related to immunotherapy and related immunologically effective prognostic factors can be identified. Second, the immunotherapy process can produce many adverse effects such as immune pneumonia, immune hepatitis, and immune skin reactions, all of which can affect the patient’s treatment. In addition, the relatively high cost of biologic therapies is a very important factor limiting the development of biologic therapies.
