What should I do if my period has been delayed for a week?

Women of childbearing age with a one-week delay in menstruation need to have their blood or urine HCG checked to determine if they are pregnant. If a patient has a one-week delay in menstruation but has had sex within the last week, pregnancy cannot be completely ruled out by checking blood and urine HCG. Because of the short period of time, there may be false negatives and the patient needs to be monitored continuously. After pregnancy has been ruled out, if the patient has a regular menstrual period and occasionally experiences a delay in menstruation. This is a good time to consider whether the menstrual disorder is idiopathic and may be related to the patient’s emotional changes, seasonal changes, and other factors. Patients need to have an ultrasound to observe the endometrium. If the endometrium is 1.0 cm thick, you can wait for menstruation. If the thickness of endometrium is around 0.8cm, you can choose to use less abdominal stasis granules, motherwort and progesterone to promote menstruation. If the endometrium is too thin, you can choose to use combined estrogen and progestin therapy to promote menstruation.
