I have a little experience in treating dryness recently. The latter is strictly diagnosed by western medicine. The cases I treated are not exactly dry syndrome, some of them are only suspected, and can be collectively called “dryness syndrome” in Chinese medicine. For TCM, it can be collectively called “dryness evidence”, and if the joint symptoms are obvious, it can be called “dryness paralysis”. Visit Dr. Jin’s Sina Blog: Dr. Jin’s Eight Immortals Table The “dry syndrome” spoken of by western medicine is actually more appropriately called “Sjögren’s syndrome”, because the basic pathology of the so-called “dry syndrome” is “Sjögren’s syndrome”. The basic pathological mechanism of the so-called “dry syndrome” is: “lymphocyte invasion of columnar epithelial cells”, which can occur in the parotid, salivary, lacrimal glands and other exocrine glands, but also in the renal interstitium, lung interstitium, digestive tract mucosa, liver confluence area, causing renal tubular acidosis, pulmonary fibrosis or other diseases, in these If there is no “dryness” symptom at all, “dry syndrome” is somewhat misleading, plus there are many people with “dryness” symptom who are not “dry syndrome” at all. “Therefore, it is more appropriate to call “dry syndrome” as “Schegren’s syndrome”. So is it inappropriate for TCM practitioners to treat “Schegren’s syndrome” as “dryness evidence” or “dryness paralysis”? I think this approach is not comprehensive, at least. It is impossible for TCM practitioners to establish a unified TCM pathogenesis based on the pathological mechanism of “lymphocyte invasion of columnar epithelial cells”, because “dry eyes”, “dry mouth Chinese medicine practitioners cannot establish a unified Chinese medical mechanism based on the pathological mechanism of “lymphocyte invasion of columnar epithelial cells”, because “dry eyes”, “dry mouth”, “cough” and “impotence” may be the same or different for Chinese medicine practitioners. “This is the reason why Chinese and Western medicine cannot be matched. Or each according to their own way to solve the problem is good. Therefore, I also think that Chinese medicine is not suitable for standardization of Western medicine, because Western medicine can be “falsified”, but Chinese medicine is difficult to be “falsified”, so it is difficult to “scientifically” standardize Chinese medicine. (Note that there is a paradox here: what is falsifiable is scientific and not necessarily correct, and what is not falsifiable is non-scientific and not necessarily wrong, so the word science should be neutral, and “scientific” is not necessarily “correct and good”. Just remember that “dry” ≠ “dry syndrome”, “dry syndrome” ≠ “dry “, and “dry syndrome” in Western medicine ≠ “dryness” in Chinese medicine, that’s all. Still don’t understand, it doesn’t matter, you just need to remember that you should see a regular doctor when you are sick. The classification of dryness in TCM is complicated because the identification system of TCM is complicated, there is identification from “qi and blood”, there is identification from “internal organs”, and there is controversy that dryness is Yin and Yang, so there is also identification from “internal dryness, external dryness Therefore, there is also discrimination from “internal dryness, external dryness”, “Yin dryness” and “Yang dryness”. I think we can roughly identify the evidence from the presence or absence of evil, divided into external dryness, internal dryness, external dryness for external evil, not only “all the six obscenities can turn into fire”, all the six obscenities can also turn into dryness, dryness can be divided into warm dryness, cool dryness, wind, cold, heat, moisture, fire can be manifested as dryness symptoms, where wind, fire is Yang evil easy to hurt the fluids into dryness is more common, although the heat evil easy to Although the heat is easy to be mixed with moisture, but the summer heat hurts the moisture and blocks the qi, it can also cause dryness symptoms such as dry mouth, disturbed heart, dry skin, etc. The moisture is a yin evil, often blocking the qi, making the body water stagnant, which can cause dry mouth and dry throat, not wanting to drink water. Internal dryness without external evil can be classified according to qi and blood yin and yang: yin deficiency, qi deficiency, qi and yin deficiency, yin deficiency and internal heat, yang deficiency, qi stagnation and blood stasis, qi deficiency and blood stasis. External dryness: warm dryness, dryness and fire combined with evil for warm dryness, available to clear dryness and save the lung soup. For cool dryness, apricot and sorghum or Qianjin Maimendong Tang, for dryness caused by wind, add Scutellaria baicalensis, Gentiana macrophylla, and Fangfeng in Siwu Tang, for dryness caused by fire, with the preference of fire and heat and positive qi, clear the stomach, Huanglian Detoxifying Tang, Puji Disinfecting Drink, or bamboo leaf and gypsum soup, for dryness caused by heat and heat, add Ginseng or Atractylodes macrocephala in Baihu Tang. Dampness and turbidity can be treated with Da Yuan Drink and Da Huang. Or, if the spleen and stomach are deficient in qi, excessive consumption of cold or cold, dampness and turbidity trapping the spleen and rising yin fire, Dong Yuan’s Sheng Yang Yi Stomach Tang, Sheng Yang Dispersing Fire Tang or Spleen and Stomach Diarrhea Yin Fire Rising Yang Tang can be used. Cold causes dryness, mostly due to severe cold or cold on the surface and heat in the interior, can be used to solve both the surface and the interior of Da Qing Long Tang. Internal dryness: Yin deficiency, can be selected according to the viscera of the organs of the stomach soup, increase liquid soup, saxifrage maitong soup, consistent decoction or six-flavor Dihuang class, qi deficiency, treatment to cultivate the earth to generate gold method, ginseng lingbaijiao pill or tonic zhong yi qi soup qi and yin deficiency, tonic zhong yi qi combined with six-flavor Dihuang, yin deficiency of internal heat, Zhi Bai Dihuang pill combined with artemisia turtle nail soup, yang deficiency, rational zhong soup, annexes rational zhong soup discretion to add nourishing stomach yin products.
