Low blood pressure, also known as diastolic blood pressure, is considered hypotension if it is 55 mmHg. If the patient is currently taking oral medications that affect blood pressure, care must be taken to reduce the dosage or stop taking them altogether, as sometimes the actual condition of the patient must be taken into account. In addition, if the patient’s systolic blood pressure is also low, it is necessary to find out what the cause is, whether it is caused by oral antihypertensive drugs, or whether it is caused by malnutrition or cachexia secondary to hypotension, and some patients have recently eaten poorly, frequent nausea, vomiting, and insufficient blood volume, which can also trigger the appearance of hypotension. In this case, we should pay attention to supplementation. We suggest that patients can have a high-quality protein diet, such as red beef, mutton, meat, nuts, egg whites, sea cucumber, silkworm pupae, which are relatively helpful in raising blood pressure, and if necessary, we can also combine oral raw pulse drink, which also helps to raise blood pressure.
