What does esophageal ll+llc-like disease mean?

Esophageal LL+LLC-like disease is mainly considered in gastroscopy to describe the staging of esophageal lesions. Generally, LL+LLC is mostly considered to be more likely to be esophageal cancer, and further pathologic examination is needed to confirm the diagnosis. When patients undergo gastroscopy or esophagoscopy, only the presence of lesions on the surface of the esophageal mucosa can be observed. When patients have depressions in the esophageal wall, accompanied by the appearance of ulcers, and the border is not clear, it is usually suggestive of LL+LLC, but at this time, microscopic testing can not be used to confirm the diagnosis of whether it is a malignant lesion or not, and it is necessary to further send the pathology to immunohistochemistry testing. Based on current clinical studies and big data analysis, esophageal LL+LLC-like lesions suggest a high degree of malignancy. Therefore, when patients with esophageal LL+LLC-like lesions, the possibility of esophageal cancer is considered high, and further pathological diagnosis is needed.
