Meningiomas usually require surgery, and the main threat after surgery is cerebral edema, which is caused by surgical harassment of the brain tissue or venous reflux is affected. There is also the postoperative increase in blood pressure that causes rebleeding in the operative field, which is normally about a week in such patients. Meningioma surgery in special areas, such as meningioma surgery in the saddle area, can damage the hypothalamus, causing high fever, electrolyte disturbance, and polyuria, and meningioma in the medulla oblongata or skull base and pontine horn can damage the posterior group of cranial nerves, causing difficulty in swallowing and choking, and the recovery period for such patients is usually about 2-3 weeks. Therefore, the observation period after meningioma surgery should be 2-3 weeks.
