Surgical indications for rotator cuff injuries

Most of the surgical methods for rotator cuff injury are minimally invasive shoulder arthroscopy, which can enter into the inner part of the shoulder joint to observe whether there is any damage to the glenohumeral joint, humeral head and glenoid labrum, whether there is any manifestation of synovial membrane such as congestion, edema, fibrosis and so on, whether there is any extrusion in the joint cavity, whether there is any inflammation of bursa under the acromion, as well as whether there is any normal shape of the acromion, and so on. The indications for surgery include: 1) traumatic rotator cuff injury; 2) after more than half a year of conservative treatment, the symptoms have not significantly improved; 3) geriatric rotator cuff injury, long-term conservative treatment and physical therapy are ineffective.
