What is UTI Dialysis

Uremic dialysis refers to the artificial replacement of kidneys to achieve the purpose of excretion of wastes and stabilization of the body’s internal environment, usually uremic dialysis is divided into hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. Since the kidney function of uremia patients is gradually and irreversibly decreasing, patients can follow the doctor’s instruction to metabolize the body’s wastes and excrete excess water through dialysis treatment, so that the internal environment is in a relatively stable state. Dialysis treatment is a kind of artificial replacement of kidneys, mainly including hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. Hemodialysis is a process in which blood is drawn through vascular access such as deep vein cannula or arteriovenous fistula, and then filtered through a filter to be re-infused into the body. Peritoneal dialysis is the process of instilling peritoneal dialysis fluid into the patient’s abdominal cavity, retaining it for a period of time and then releasing it, through the filtering effect of its own peritoneum, thus bringing out excess water and waste in the body. It is recommended that uremia patients go to regular hospitals for consultation, and the professional doctors will judge whether dialysis treatment is needed according to the actual degree of illness. During the period of dialysis treatment, patients should also take good care of their body and go to the hospital for regular checkups.
