Sore throat has more causes, often associated with acute pharyngitis, acute tonsillitis, acute epiglottitis, etc., need to be targeted according to the specific cause of the treatment.
1. Acute pharyngitis: warm salt water gargle can be given to dilute secretions, watermelon cream laxative tablets orally to ease the symptoms, 2% silver nitrate coated lymphoid follicles in the posterior wall of the pharynx anti-inflammatory, penicillin or ribavirin anti-infection, and so on.
2. Acute tonsillitis: warm salt water gargling, penicillin anti-infection, surgical treatment (repeated episodes of acute tonsillitis, excessive tonsil hypertrophy, etc.).
3. Acute epiglottitis: broad-spectrum antibiotics such as cephalosporin, ibuprofen for pain relief, glucocorticosteroids to reduce swelling, nebulized inhalation should be given as early as possible; tracheotomy may be needed for those with severe symptoms and severe laryngeal obstruction.
Sore throat is also caused by other reasons, such as pharyngeal tumors, foreign bodies, etc. It is recommended to improve the examination and diagnosis after giving symptomatic treatment.
