How long can you live with conservative chemotherapy for stomach cancer

The survival cycle of conservative chemotherapy for gastric cancer is uncertain and needs to be determined according to the stage, pathological type, etc. Generally, it is recommended to follow the doctor’s prescription for comprehensive treatment, not just conservative chemotherapy.
For early stage operable gastric cancer patients, the 5-year overall survival rate can reach 90%. For patients with progressive gastric cancer, lymph node metastasis occurs, but with comprehensive treatment such as surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, the median survival time can reach 36 months. If only receiving chemotherapy, the tumor cannot be cured radically.
Chemotherapy is one of the more important means of gastric cancer treatment, the specific treatment effect and survival cycle need to be determined by combining with the patient’s physical condition, staging, pathological type, etc. Those who are not in good condition can live for a few months, while those who are in better condition can prolong their survival appropriately, and there is no way to be completely sure.
For example, if early gastric cancer patients’ cancer cells have not metastasized and proliferated, timely surgery, radiotherapy and other treatments can remove cancer from the body, so as to achieve a cure and long-term survival; however, if the patients are in middle or late stage, chemotherapy can only help to prolong the survival cycle, and most of the patients can only live for a few months.
