Thick and yellowish leukorrhea is most often caused by chronic inflammation of the cervix. Due to chronic inflammation of the cervix, exudation increases and glandular secretion is high, resulting in thick, yellowish leucorrhea. A gynecological examination is recommended to find out if the cervix is congested and edematous, and to find out if there are localized cervical redundancies. It is recommended to give active clinical treatment, such as local medication by inserting diazoxide suppositories into the vagina for 7-10 days, or oral metronidazole tablets for 5 days. And it is recommended to take it after meals, because metronidazole may cause gastrointestinal reactions. It is also important to exclude yellowing of the leucorrhea caused by inflammation of the pelvis.
