Gentian Liver Pill is composed of Mutong, Psyllium, Zedoaria, Chaihu, Scutellaria and Gentian. Its function is to clear the liver and gallbladder, and relieve dampness and heat. It is applicable to damp-heat of liver and gallbladder, deafness and tinnitus, dizziness, redness of the eyes, bitter mouth and dystocia (pain in the area of the coats of arms and ribs), damp-heat with menorrhagia, and redness of urine. The adverse reactions and contraindications of this product are not clear.
Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan is composed of Zhi Mu, Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata, Rhizoma Dioscoreae, Rhizoma Cypress, Cornu Cervi Pantotrichum, etc. It can nourish yin and reduce fire. It is used in treating yin deficiency and fire exuberance, hot flashes and night sweating (abnormal sweating after going to sleep and stopping after waking up), dry mouth and sore throat, tinnitus and spermatorrhea, and short and reddish urination (small amount of urination with dark yellow color). The adverse reactions and contraindications of this product are not known.
