Bleeding after nasal radiofrequency treatment may be related to atrophic rhinitis, deviated nasal septum, systemic diseases, etc. According to the cause of the disease and the extent of the disease, general treatment, medication and surgical treatment should be chosen to control the disease and improve the symptoms.
1. Atrophic rhinitis: it may be related to endocrine disorders, autonomic dysfunction, vitamin deficiency and immune dysfunction and other etiological factors, with atrophy and thinning of the nasal mucosa, reduced secretion of glands and dryness of the nasal cavity, and the capillaries may be brittle and cracked and bleeding. After the control of acute hemorrhage by radiofrequency treatment in the nose, new blood foci can still be issued in other parts of the nasal cavity.
Compound menthol nasal drops, 50% dextrose solution, 1% streptomycin nasal drops and hexenylestradiol oil can be used for nasal drops, together with warm saline rinsing of the nasal cavity, and reasonable supplementation of trace elements such as zinc, iron, calcium and multivitamins. Some patients can also be treated with nasal mucosa embedding.
2. Deviated nasal septum: it is a structural deformity of the bone and cartilage of the nasal septum, which can form sharp spines or curved arcs, and the mucous membrane at the bulging protrusion is thin and the capillaries are dilated, so it is easy to bleed due to the rupture of the mucous membrane and blood vessels. Even if the bleeding can be temporarily stopped after nasal radiofrequency treatment, it can still recur. It is necessary to correct the structural abnormality of the nasal cavity through submucosal resection of the nasal septum or correction of the nasal septum to treat the cause.
3. Systemic diseases: such as the existence of hypertension, blood pressure fluctuations, and the application of anticoagulants and other reasons may also appear in the above symptoms, need to treat the primary disease.
When nose bleeding still occurs after nasal radiofrequency treatment, it is necessary to actively seek medical treatment, systematic examination to clarify the diagnosis, and follow the doctor’s instructions to standardize the treatment.
