Trauma-induced tympanic membrane perforation requires otoscopy and audiometry! If necessary, a temporal bone CT is needed to rule out temporal bone fractures! For small or medium sized tympanic membrane perforations, the probability of healing on its own in three months is 90%! Large perforations or too close to the edge of the more difficult to grow their own good, three months or six months did not heal most need surgery to repair the eardrum! Remember not to get water in the ear, do not order any medicine (unless there is an infection)! Keep it dry! Regular review in the hospital to observe the recovery of the eardrum!
