The GCS score refers to the Glasgow Coma Index score, which is divided into three areas: 1. Eye opening response, if the patient can open his eyes by himself, 4 points, 3 points if he opens his eyes under verbal stimulation, 2 points if he opens his eyes under painful stimulation, and 1 point if he does not open his eyes. 2. Language, if the patient can communicate normally with the doctor, 5 points, 4 points if his speech is disorganized and does not make sense, 3 points if he can only say a single word or inappropriate speech, 2 points if he can only pronounce words and sentences without making sense, and 1 point if he cannot speak at all. If the patient is able to follow the doctor’s instructions, a score of 6 is given; if the patient is unable to do the movement but responds to painful stimuli and can accurately move the doctor’s hand away, a score of 5 is given; if the patient responds to painful stimuli but only has contraction and flexion of the limb, a score of 4 is given. If there was a decortication state, flexion of both upper limbs occurred and straightening of both lower limbs scored 3 points, if there was a decerebrate state, all four limbs were straightened and stiffened scored 2 points, if there was no response at all scored 1 point.
