Our country has a proverb: “since ancient times, the red face more thin life”, savor the words, from the medical point of view does have a certain truth. The motherland medicine believes that: “twelve meridians, three hundred and sixty-five channels, their blood are injected into the face”. Visible face is a mirror of human health, the red face of the disease, whether it is acute or chronic disease, more than a critical illness. In life, people tend to red face as a sign of good health, but the actual situation is not entirely so, because the “red face” is sometimes precisely a symptom of certain diseases. Such as: 1, tuberculosis tuberculosis is a common infectious disease of the airways, the incidence of which has increased in recent years. Tuberculosis bacteria into the blood, so that inflammatory lesions in the lungs, due to the release of toxins tuberculosis bacteria, the patient will produce symptoms of toxicity; patients (mostly women) in a high reaction state, there will be a tuberculosis allergic to the syndrome, the patient appeared to the cheeks flushed, the medical termed this as tuberculosis face. The patient may also have a low or high fever, especially in the afternoon, night sweats, generalized weakness, loss of appetite, weight loss, menstrual irregularities, cough, sputum and chest pain, or in severe cases, dyspnea. In addition, lobar pneumonia, malaria, acute tonsillitis and other acute fever patients may also appear flushing. 2.Hypertension Hypertension is a kind of slowly progressing chronic disease, most of the early no obvious symptoms, when the condition reaches a certain degree can cause heart damage. Due to heart enlargement, myocardial hypertrophy, myocardial contractility increases, so that the heart discharges more blood, which causes patients to expand blood vessels in the head and face congestion, so facial congestion appears to be full of redness. In addition, the patient will have dizziness, headache, blurred vision, tinnitus, palpitations, insomnia, memory loss or numbness of the limbs. Women suffering from high blood pressure, most often due to the combination of hyperemesis gravidarum, resulting in eclampsia and endangering the lives of mother and baby. High blood pressure makes cerebral blood vessels rupture and cause cerebral hemorrhage, which is also a common cause of patient death. 3.Erythrocytosis Erythrocytosis is a rare hematologic disease with unknown cause. Its pathological changes are mainly due to the hyperplasia of bone marrow hematopoiesis, which increases the total number of red blood cells in the blood and the absolute increase of total blood volume. Due to the excessive viscosity of the blood, the blood flow is slowed down and the reduction of oxygenated hemoglobin is higher, therefore, presenting with liver redness of the cheeks. There is also a tendency to splenomegaly and hemorrhage, and in severe cases, this may be accompanied by neurological symptoms such as paralysis and seizures. Patients are often endangered by complications such as thrombosis, reocclusion or leukemia. 4.Rheumatic heart disease Chronic rheumatic heart disease (referred to as rheumatic heart disease) is a heart disease left behind by acute rheumatic heart disease, its pathological changes are mainly for the heart valves, including the mitral valve pathological damage rate of 100%. When the mitral valve stenosis occurs, the return blood volume is blocked and reduced, which increases the blood volume in the pulmonary circulation and increases the pulmonary artery pressure. When the compensatory function of the heart is dysfunctional, heart failure occurs, resulting in pulmonary stasis and facial congestion; because of the gas exchange obstacle in the body, the arterial blood oxygen content is reduced, so the two cheekbones are purple and red. In addition, the patient will also have difficulty in breathing, cyanosis, cough or hemoptysis, edema and other manifestations. The patient’s life is often jeopardized by the complication of heart failure or respiratory failure, embolism; the combination of wind heart disease and pregnancy is the main cause of maternal death. In order to prevent the development of its condition, attention to heart health care, with conditions, should be early surgical treatment. 5.Cyanosis type congenital heart disease Due to congenital cardiovascular malformation, resulting in venous blood flow into the left heart cavity or aorta through abnormal channels, not fully oxygenated venous blood is sent to all parts of the body, resulting in a significant reduction in arterial oxygen saturation, cyanosis and secondary erythrocytosis. Cyanosis of the face, lips, and even the conjunctiva and nails occurs shortly after birth. Common diseases include: Tetralogy of Fallot, Tetralogy of Fallot, tricuspid atresia, permanent arterial trunk, large-vessel borrowing, Eisenmenger’s syndrome, and so on. The general condition is more serious, more need surgical treatment. 6, epidemic hemorrhagic fever Epidemic hemorrhagic fever is a rodent-borne viral transmission, with fever, hemorrhage, kidney damage as the main characteristics of infectious diseases. Patients due to generalized capillary dilation, vascular permeability increases, early can be manifested as facial, neck and upper chest skin congestion and redness, medically known as “drunken face”. In addition, there are fever, gastrointestinal symptoms; three pains (headache, lumbago, orbital pain); conjunctiva, eyelid edema and facial swelling; bleeding; kidney damage and other symptoms. The disease comes rapidly, the condition changes quickly, and the death rate is high. There are ways to prevent the disease, mainly combining scientific extermination of rats and vaccination, which is the leading preventive measure nowadays. 7, Carcinoid Syndrome Carcinoid tumor is a kind of rare and slow-growing epithelial cell tumor, its tissue structure is like cancer, and it has the tendency of malignant, but less metastasis, so it is called carcinoid tumor. Metabolic intestinal carcinoid tumors over-secrete 5-hydroxytryptamine, bradykinin, histamine, prostaglandins, peptide hormones and other substances that act on blood vessels, causing a series of symptoms such as flushing of skin, cyanosis, intestinal cramps, diarrhea and so on. Paroxysmal flushing of skin is one of the earliest symptoms of carcinoid cancer, which lasts for a short period of time, one attack usually lasts for only 5-10 minutes, starting from face, neck and chest, and then expanding to other parts of the body, showing the characteristic tricolor change of deep red, cyanosis and pallor. Early stage carcinoid tumor can be expected to be cured if the tumor can be completely removed by timely surgery. Therefore, once carcinoid tumor is found, it should be diagnosed or operated as early as possible.
