How long does it take to heal from ear piercing

The healing time after ear piercing depends on the individual’s skin quality and whether there is an infection, so it cannot be generalized. In the initial stage after ear piercing, attention should be paid to prevent infection, and it can gradually heal after 1 week if no infection occurs. Patients are advised to use alcohol for disinfection at the early stage of ear piercing formation and apply it to the area daily to avoid inflammation; at the same time, they should avoid contact with sewage and dirt when washing their faces and hair, keep the earlobe area clean and dry, and avoid squeezing the ear when sleeping. If the earlobe becomes red, swollen, hot and painful, the healing time of the ear piercing can be relatively longer, and the ear piercing can only heal gradually after the infection has recovered. In addition, you should eat a light diet after ear piercing, and avoid spicy, greasy and irritating foods that are not conducive to ear piercing healing.
