How to give first aid for sulfur poisoning

The main routes of sulfur poisoning in patients are inhalation through the respiratory tract, ingestion through the digestive tract, and absorption through the mucous membrane of the skin. When first aid is given, it is necessary to reduce further absorption of sulfur in patients first: for patients poisoned by skin absorption, patients should be promptly removed from contaminated clothing and their skin or eyes should be thoroughly washed with water; for patients poisoned by air inhalation, the poisoning site should be evacuated and oxygen should be given; for patients poisoned by digestive tract intake, the patient’s tongue and throat can be stimulated with fingers in order to induce vomiting. After patients with sulfur poisoning should be sent to the hospital in time, doctors should take treatment measures such as gastric lavage, diarrhea, rehydration, and other symptomatic measures according to different conditions of patients.
