Patients with chronic exertional cervicodorsal fasciitis complain of diffuse pain in the cervical back (sometimes including the thoracic back), with the medial shoulders and cervicothoracic junction being the most obvious, characterized by severe pain in the morning, which is relieved after a few minutes or half an hour of activity, but seems to return in the evening due to excessive activity, and improves after rest, similar to hypertrophic spondylitis. The latter is caused by organic lesions of the hypothalamus-pituitary gland, mainly craniopharyngioma and pineal tumor. The prevention and treatment of pituitary dwarfism mainly depends on the primary disease, and here we mainly introduce the prevention and treatment of cretinism. Iodized salt should be supplied to goiter endemic areas to reduce the incidence of the disease, and women with goiter should eat more iodine-containing foods, especially during pregnancy.
