There are more acupoints in the back, including mainly the Directing Vessel on the median line, or the Directing Vessel point known as the Sea of Yang Vessel, which is an extra meridian point, including the subsidiary point Hua Tuo Pinch Point, and some points on the first and second lateral lines of the Foot and Sun Bladder Meridian. The important points on the Directing Vessel include the Dazhi, Zhiyang, Body Pillar, and Tendon Shrinkage, which can treat many diseases, including those passed by the meridians, such as the Dazhi point for cervical spondylosis, and some diseases of the nervous system. The Hua Tuo Pinch Point can treat some diseases related to the internal organs. The dorsal points are part of the first lateral line of the bladder meridian and are named after the internal organs, with the liver, gall bladder, lung, spleen and stomach points all on the first lateral line of the bladder meridian. For example, for spleen and stomach diseases, Spleen Yu and Stomach Yu must be used, while Liver Yu and Bile Yu are used for liver and gall bladder system disorders, and Kidney Yu can be used for kidney diseases, and there is a close connection between the five viscera and six internal organs. Many patients with spleen and stomach disorders are related to liver discomfort, so they also use liver yu. Therefore, the points on the back are very important and are often used in clinical practice.
