The four coagulation tests take 15 minutes from the time the specimen is collected until the specimen enters the laboratory where it needs to be centrifuged for 15 minutes to make platelet deficient plasma, and then the test is run on the machine. Therefore, the overall time for this test takes about 30 minutes. If the test results are abnormal and need to be retested to find the cause, the time for the results will be extended, and the results of emergency tests are usually sent within 1 hour. For routine specimen testing, the test results generally take 2-3 hours. The time required for results is related to the number of patients. If there are very many patients and the volume of specimens is very large, the instrument tests need to send the results in order. Overall, results take 2-3 hours for routine specimens and 1 hour for emergency specimens.
