Surgery for epiglottis cysts is a tertiary surgery, which is not considered as a minor surgery, but nowadays, most of the epiglottis cysts are treated by laryngoscopic excision or uncovering surgery, which is a minimally invasive operation with little technical difficulty. The laryngoscope is inserted from the oropharynx to fully expose the cyst, and auxiliary equipments such as low temperature plasma, ultrasonic knife or radiofrequency knife, and laser can be used to completely excise the mass or uncover most of the surface of the mass to achieve the purpose of removing the mass. The procedure is short, traumatic and controllable, with little collateral damage to the surrounding tissues, complete hemostasis during the operation, and quicker recovery of the wound after the operation. The excised cyst tissue is routinely examined pathologically after surgery to determine the nature of the lesion.
