Kidney cancer metastasis to adrenal gland does not belong to distant metastasis, but belongs to direct dissemination metastasis. Kidney cancer belongs to malignant tumor of kidney, which can be metastasized by tumor cells, and the ways of metastasis of this malignant tumor mainly include lymphatic metastasis, direct dissemination and hematogenous metastasis. Direct dissemination refers to the tumor cells breaking through the peripheral membrane and invading the tissues around the kidney, for example, invading the adrenal gland, renal pelvis and other tissues and organs; while hematogenous dissemination can lead to distant metastasis of renal cancer, for example, lung metastasis, bone metastasis, ovary metastasis, liver metastasis and so on. To sum up, as adrenal gland belongs to peripheral tissues of kidney, metastasis of kidney cancer to adrenal gland does not belong to distant metastasis, but belongs to direct metastasis.
