Is HPV 51, and 59 positive cancer?

A positive test for HPV 51 and 59 does not necessarily mean cancer, but simply that the patient is infected with these two subtypes of the virus. Positive test results can occur after infection with HPV types 51 and 59. Most patients tend to be asymptomatic, and may even be lifelong carriers without developing the disease, which does not necessarily mean that a positive test result will lead to cancer. Since HPV types 51 and 59 are high-risk types, some patients may develop abnormal cervical epithelial hyperplasia after infection without effective intervention. In this case, we should be alert to the possibility of cervical cancer or precancerous lesions, and further cervical exfoliative cytology and cervical biopsy are needed to make a definitive diagnosis. If the test result is positive for human papillomavirus, it is important to consult a doctor in time and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
