The efficacy of laser treatment of nosebleed is related to the cause of the disease, usually for the nasal mucosal lesions leading to the formation of hemangiomas formed by the expansion of submucosal blood vessels, laser treatment is effective, and the efficacy of nosebleed caused by systemic diseases is poor.
Nosebleeds caused by local factors, such as rhinitis, nasal septum deviation and other reasons, leading to nasal septum mucosa rupture and erosion. Cauterizing the ruptured nasal mucosal area or blood vessel breaks using a laser can promote mucosal vascular closure.
Nosebleeds are also caused by systemic factors such as hematologic disorders including thrombocytopenia, coagulation disorders, as well as hypertension and diabetes mellitus. Only laser hemostatic treatment is prone to recurrence, but also need to be based on the cause of the treatment.
