2 year olds can get tetanus vaccine if they are eligible for vaccination. The tetanus vaccine is not given separately in early childhood and will be given together with the diphtheria vaccine and pertussis vaccine, i.e., DPT and DPT. Babies need to have 1 dose of DPT vaccine each at 3 months, 4 months and 5 months after birth, and can choose a time to have another booster shot from 18 months to 2 years of age, and 1 dose of DPT vaccine at 6 years of age. If your baby has not been immunized with DPT vaccine between 18 months and 2 years of age, then your 2 year old child can be immunized with DPT vaccine. Babies should consult a physician of the Department of Preventive Vaccination before vaccination, and if there are no obvious contraindications, be sure to complete the relevant vaccinations for your baby according to the schedule.
