How to take. For adults, if it is pneumonia or moderate infection, take 625mg of potassium clavulanate tablets orally every 8 hours for a typical course of about 10 days. For general infections take half 375mg once, also once every 8 hours, also for about 10 days. For newborns and infants within 2-3 months of age, it is recommended to administer 15mg/kg twice a day according to body weight. For older children, children over 40 kg, the dose should be 40 mg/kg. If a patient has reduced kidney function or is on hemodialysis, the dosage should be reduced appropriately.
