Babies are young, their nervous system is not well developed and they lack corresponding protective reflexes such as nausea, vomiting and coughing reflexes. Therefore, when a baby falls on the back of the head, the corresponding symptoms are not typical and yawning may occur, and if the symptoms persist, they need to be alert to the possibility of trauma leading to intracranial haemorrhage.
Parents should do close observation of the baby’s mental condition, such as continuous yawning, mental softness, crying or teasing without crying or laughing, while improving the relevant examination as soon as possible to clarify the condition and take the next treatment measures for the cause, so as not to delay the best time for treatment.
