The teeth are too dense and the treatment plan needs to be determined according to the stage of the teeth and the degree of crowding. There are usually treatment options such as observation, orthodontic treatment or serial extraction.
1. Milk teeth stage: For some mild crowding of milk teeth, it is recommended to observe and consume more hard foods on weekdays to increase the stimulation of the jawbone and promote its development. With age, the jawbone will gradually widen and mild crowding may improve on its own.
2. Teething period: temporary crowding exists during the teething period, which does not require special treatment and can be lifted on its own with the completion of tooth replacement. Some non-temporary crowding can be treated with orthodontic treatment after completion of tooth replacement; severe crowding that affects tooth replacement requires serial extraction and orthodontic treatment after completion of tooth replacement.
3. Permanent dentition: crowding in permanent dentition usually requires orthodontic treatment.
It is recommended that patients whose teeth are too dense go to regular hospitals for consultation, and be examined by a physician to determine the appropriate treatment plan.
