Is cefuroxime tablets an anti-inflammatory drug?

Cefuroxime tablets are anti-inflammatory drugs, mainly used to control bacterial infections. Cefuroxime belongs to the second generation of cephalosporins, and there is a corresponding change in the antibacterial spectrum of cephalosporin antibiotics as the generation increases. Cefuroxime is a second-generation cephalosporin. The second generation cephalosporin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic, which has a certain antibacterial effect on both negative and positive bacteria. Anti-inflammatory drugs should be applied according to medical advice and not abused on their own. Because most discomfort or even local inflammation is not necessarily caused by bacterial infection, oral anti-inflammatory drugs are not as effective as local treatment of the wound. If there is an abscess on the body, active incision of the abscess and flushing of the wound with iodophor and hydrogen peroxide may have a more definite therapeutic effect than oral anti-inflammatory drugs. Therefore, the time and type of oral anti-inflammatory drugs need to follow medical advice in order to reduce misdiagnosis of the disease or lead to serious consequences.
