Can lymph node metastasis of stomach cancer be cut cleanly?

It is possible to remove the metastatic lymph nodes of gastric cancer. When the lymph nodes in the metastatic area of gastric cancer are small, they can be completely removed through surgery together with the stomach tumor itself. In this case, adjuvant chemotherapy is often needed after surgery to reduce the chance of recurrence and metastasis in the future and to improve the cure rate. If the lymph nodes in the metastatic area are large and the number of lymph nodes is relatively large, it may not be possible to completely remove all the lymph nodes, and then chemotherapy or simultaneous radiotherapy can be considered. After treatment, some patients’ tumors will shrink. After the tumor shrinkage, there is a chance to remove the lymph nodes, and then adjuvant chemotherapy is often required after surgery.
