Watermelon cream spray is a topical drug used in otolaryngology and dentistry for the treatment of oropharyngeal ulcers and viral infections of the oropharynx, which is mainly used to clear heat and promote the healing of the ulcer surface. It is not clinically indicated for topical use in the nasal cavity because topical application of watermelon cream spray to the nasal mucosa can cause a significant burning sensation in patients. Because watermelon cream is very irritating, it can lead to the possibility of local ulceration, mucosal erosion or even bleeding in patients, and can even lead to risks such as perforation of the nasal septum. Therefore, if patients have symptoms of allergic rhinitis such as nasal disinflation, sneezing and runny nose, they can apply nasal spray hormones and antihistamine nasal sprays for symptomatic treatment. If the patient presents with dry nasal mucosa and local ulcers, nasal drops with compound peppermint brain drops can be used for nasal treatment, or recombinant bovine basic fibroblast growth factor gel can be applied topically to the nasal cavity to promote the healing of the ulcerated surface for treatment. Watermelon cream spray is not very clinically recommended for nasal spray treatment.
