What to do if a tooth is loose from trauma

If the tooth is loose after trauma, it can be treated separately after oral examination and whole jaw surface tomogram is taken. If the alveolar bone on the lip and buccal side is fractured, the alveolar bone can be repositioned and ligated under local anesthesia, and the tooth can be fixed on both sides of the stable neighboring teeth, and the diet should be mainly liquid or semi-liquid, and attention should be paid to strengthening oral hygiene and cleaning. 3-4 months after the tooth is restored to stability, then the arch splint can be removed. If the X-ray shows that the crown fracture is located below the gum, the crown can be extracted, and the broken root can be treated with root canal therapy and a pile crown restoration can be made. If the root is fractured and the prognosis is poor, the fractured root can be extracted directly. If the alveolar bone is plentiful, immediate implant restoration can be performed. If the bone is insufficient, the implant can be filled with bone powder and the implant restoration can be completed after 3-4 months.
