Medical research shows that the higher the heel of the shoe, the longer it is worn, the greater the damage to the lumbar spine, if you do not pay attention to protection and regulation, over time may develop into lumbar disc protrusion, osteophytes and other diseases.  It is advisable for women to wear high heels as little as possible, and for some patients with basic lumbar diseases, especially lumbar disc herniation, it is best not to wear them, so as not to further aggravate the damage to the lumbar spine. Secondly, for some people who need to wear high heels in the workplace, a pair of comfortable flat shoes can be prepared in the office, alternating with high heels. In addition, attention should also be paid to do some gymnastics to protect the lumbar spine after changing shoes, such as body squatting, hands holding the knees in a jump-like activity to help alleviate the muscle pain caused by the pelvic tilt and excessive lumbar back extension, effectively protecting the human lumbar spine. Finally, it is recommended that when women pick high heels, it is best to choose shoes with a heel of no more than 5 cm, a thicker heel and a looser toe.
