Do targeted drugs work well for squamous cancer

Squamous carcinoma is usually treated with targeted drugs, the effect is not too good, but now there are some targeted drugs that have just been released, which can be tried for the treatment of squamous carcinoma, such as Anrotinib, which can be used for the second-line treatment of advanced non-small cell lung squamous carcinoma, and also for squamous carcinoma of the esophagus and other parts of the body, it may also be effective. Apatinib, which was previously used, may also be effective for squamous carcinoma. However, compared to adenocarcinoma, there are fewer targeted drugs available for squamous carcinoma. In general, depending on the location of squamous carcinoma, the treatment option is mainly radical surgery, which can be combined with radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Squamous carcinoma is still sensitive to radiotherapy, for example, for esophageal squamous carcinoma, if surgery is not possible, radiotherapy alone can control the development of the disease and prolong the survival period.
