New coronavirus diarrhea?

Patients infected with novel coronavirus may have diarrhea symptoms. The presentation of this novel coronavirus infection is varied and not all patients have fever or cough as the first symptom. Some patients may have digestive symptoms as the first symptom, such as mild nausea, fatigue, poor mental performance, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. In addition, neurological symptoms, such as headache, may be the first symptom. Therefore, a patient with diarrhea only and no history of exposure to an infected area is usually not suffering from novel coronavirus pneumonia. However, if a patient has a history of exposure to an infected area and other physical symptoms, hospital consultation is recommended.
